Chookie, that would have made my day, what a special sighting. We don't have koalas in WA in the wild.

Nice photos chookie.  I haven't been around much, doing the bare minimum cooking wise poor themi is feeling neglected. Which I hope to remedy this weekend. I'm planning on making butter chicken start it in thermi and finish it off in the slow cooker and some brookies today. Don't want to over do it lol
We are again empty nesters and loving it. The last family member left last night. The cat (lol) that we have been looking after for 4 plus years.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

How very exciting to see the koala Chookie. Like Katj it would have made my day.
Jenny did your car go back to its original home?

We drove again today. We are now about 400km south of Port Hedland. Our lovely bush camp was disturbed last night by 3 ambulances and a police car passing by very fast with everything blaring. It made me feel ill to think that someone north of us had obviously been involved in a bad accident.
We ran into rain today, a little earlier than expected. Checking out the main roads site tonight we discovered that the North West Coastal Highway we are on is closed in both directions 200km south. Hopefully it will be open by the time we get there tomorrow.

Safe trips Cookie and Kat.
Many years ago we had several Koalas in the Cherokee area. Very few now.
Cool and misty this morning. Baking and then in the garden.

We are in Carnarvon tonight. A big drive today for the old car. The detour left the highway and drove to the Coast at Coral Bay and then back down the Exmouth peninsular to avoid the portion of closed road. We spoke with so,done who had been permitted to come across it before it was closed. It is a new section of highway and the side track became flooded and vehicles bogged. They decided to open the new part of the highway that wasn't sealed and because of the heavy rain vehicles became bogged and wrecked it. They had no options but to close it.
The weather has become wet and cooler. All being well we will be in Geraldton tomorrow.

Made 12 jars of Cumquat and Mandarin Marmalade and started 2 loaves of 1 minute bread. One has 2 teaspoons of garlic granular and 2 teaspoons of onion flakes. Added.

CC, BBQ sounds nice.
I have 2 loaves of bread to cook and electricians coming. Hope they don't need to turn the power off.

An excellent fund-raising figure maddy.  You have a lovely range there which is beautifully presented.
