Judy she is hopeful that building will start before Christmas. She doesn’t have to get a loan so that she make things faster.
Chookie that is both exciting and worrying. What sort of car did GD buy and what colour?

Thanks CC. Very exciting.
Your GD's car sounds lovely. It will make life for her so much easier.
DH and DD went to a car show this morning to show off their cars. DD is finding it so much easier driving the left hand drive car now. It was only for a few hours so I vacuumed and washed floors.

Happy times Victorian members. I can only imagine how much you will enjoy it. I found it wonderful after only 6 weeks lockdown.

A visit to the Dr this morning, all good.  We also had a pneumonia jab.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Sensible Mab. DH and I had them too. DH had his shingles vaccination too. He couldn't have it before as he had had shingles fairly recently.
We took friends out for coffee this morning for her birthday.

K ATIE, lovely to be able to celebrate DD Birthday.  We are doing the School/ exam runs this week. Picking up and dropping off.
Made some Spray and Wipe mix from the Forum. ( not called that)   Wonderful stuff.  Gave 1/2 to our lovely gardener.
Good to have all the jabs.  Dr has given me a referral to a Physiotherapist. May be able to help with Sciatica.
Lovely to be out.  Hadn’t realised how much I was missing it.

Chookie it was a good day for DD , thankfully that English exam is done ✅. Doing the school exam/ school drop off will be great for you and GK will love it .
I made a very rush decision to go to Melbourne to see DM . Fastest pacing of bag ever . It was hard as DD doing the English exam and I wanted to be near by if she needed me . Really very strange to drive for so long . It was not an easy day but I managed as DM has been unwell and in hospital, tried to get an exception to see her , thankfully DS was not going in so it was ok . DM was so surprised and happy, last I saw her was June for 15 mins and then  back in March . Strange to be here and rather hard to feel comfortable to do anything. DD and I FaceTime last night ! She was too funny as she did her maths I read my book FaceTiming , we chatted as well ! Think I might get my glasses fixed today .

Yes we are going well aren’t we Marina.  I love waking up to good news every day now.
K Atie it must be so nice for you both to see each other at last, I was devastated when our nursing homes were still in lockdown and my dear Mum passed away back in April as I hadn’t seen her for 6 weeks. To be there when they need you and there’s nothing you can do about it is the hardest thing to deal with so I’m glad you now have the freedom to be there again for your Mother.

K ATIE, lovely for both GD and DD. Judy, not a good situation for anyone during this terrible Virus.  Makes me wonder that more can’t be done to prevent it from spreading.  Have just finished reading a well researched book about the plague in England 1666.  We haven’t handled in very differently to what they did. People left London for the country and the households that caught it were isolated.
Collected GD from 1 st Exam.  Made her some SD crumpets for lunch.  She was happy with the Exam. Think the examiners have been very sensible and not adding to the stress that this years 12 are already feeling.

I did the grocery shopping this morning. I was cross as Woolworths made an announcement that they would have 1 minutes silence and then they left their radio playing all during it. No store workers stopped for it and there was no last post after it.
A dear friend of ours was instrumental in arranging for a plane to drop poppies over the CBD today. I can't wait for DH to ring him and see how it went.
