Marina that’s too funny , you would have clocked a lot of steps in ikea . Chookie I agree , i love cooking and it makes me smile and brings me joy , quieter day today . Trying to be more motivated , don’t think that worked for today . It’s warming up again and DH is fencing off more dams as they dry up . DS DH are doing lots of jobs before DS goes back to uni .

Oh Marina how annoying. I would have been cross too.
Judy the budgie is quiet for a bit then and then walks out from wherever she is. She’s on the mend, I think, but still very cuddly.  She spent most of yesterday on my shoulder and today DD has the pleasure. She goes back to the vet on Wednesday.

DH and his former student have been working on their Model A speedster. It’s almost done.  This photo is of the speedster, the friends Model A called Turtle and one of ours called Old Frank.
The first photo is what they started with for the speedster.

What an amazing job, Cookie.  It must be so satisfying when you bring one of those old cars back to life again.

On another note, I returned to Ikea today and sorted out my wardrobe and pedometer so am happy again!

Marina i had to laugh. How frustrating. I now have an Apple Watch that counts the steps. ( I had a drawer full of pedometers that I had tried over the years) all gone now. I’m sure they weren’t accurate. Ha!
Yesterday I experimented with baking muffins in the AF. all surprisingly successful. 1/2 recipes, ( makes 12) small silicone and foil containers, 15 minutes at 180. I cooked Blueberry muffins and green tomato cup cakes.

The other night DH left a plate on the kitchen bench with coconut crumbs from a lamington ! The whole bench etc was cover with tiny ants ! The trail went along the bench to the pantry cupboards and in them !! I cleaned all morning , well all day in the end . They really decided to move in . Let’s just say I was exhausted that night and I’m still trying to get on top of it . Might wipe the cupboard out with clove oil too .

Being taken over by ants is a nightmare K Atie.
Marina that was funny. We’ve been spending a lot of time in Ikea lately, such a frustrating store to navigate but now I ask where such and such a department is and staff often give us a shortcut.
Cookie, I love the comparison photos of the old cars and take my hat off to the men for their amazing skills.
Chookie I hope your friend is now a competent air fryer cook after your efforts, well done you for investing time in her.

Getting rid of ants can be a nightmare, K Atie.  I hadn't heard of using clove oil, I use peppermint oil and that works well.

DH said thank you all for the kind words. He is off at an urgent committee meeting for Nasho Fair Go. No progress is being made and they are all getting older.

We had some tree people here today to cut back 8 Camellias as they were far too big for us to manage.

I had a lovely surprise last night when I checked my pedometer for the day - it read 5092!  Very happy with myself, but then my brain kicked in and I couldn't figure out how on Earth I had got that total when I had not been outside of the building all day - then I realised I was holding the pedometer upside down, my real total was 2605 - ah well, can't win them all!

Ha Marina, keep at it.
Zoom meeting with Dietitian and 6 others. It’s really entertaining as well as good informative Between the times when dietitian is getting organised we chat. I’m the only one in Victoria. The others are in NSW and Queensland.
