What have you been doing today?

DH and I went for a Sunday drive , was great to see lots of growth in the paddocks and the crops too . We even managed a lunch stop . Poor DH was ok being a passenger but had to have a rest when we returned. Last night I took off the dressings of his two areas of removal of skin cancers . Well that was dramatic poor DH nearly fainted , as I took a photo to show him .. that was a mistake. Yes they are big . One is about 21/2 “ long thee other is about 11/2 “ . I made a better dressing nurse after that . Hope the micropore tape lasts . Funny part , I simplified washing his hair — used Dry hair shampoo, he was amazed how good it worked . So off I went today yo the podiatrist , yet again and now I’m a tad sore but treatments are finally working to this persistent wart on my heal . Picked DD up from work . Up early for a coffee date with DGF .

After early morning catch up I then also caught up with someone else then Lunch with DD . Car trip in the afternoon.. DH went food shopping and said he would get Aldi pizzas for dinner . So a very long day , I can say I’m scratchy tonight- time for bed .

DH and I went for skin checks. I go every 6 months and he was 2 years. I got lots of bits burned off as usual but DH has  a BCC to be removed. He’s done well. This is his first one.
What did your DH have removed KAtie?

Bank to get Xmas money. Zoom meeting with dietitian and others, hair trim. The last time she blow dried my hair and I looked like Dolly Parton.

The main one was low grade melanoma , will see when he goes back . Fingers crossed 🤞.

It’s funny Judy I hated the Sun. My skin has Irish and German heritage. DH’s is European. I think as kids I was outside a lot more than him. He had to help his Mum etc.

Yesterday was hell. The garage door wouldn’t open. Needed a new motor. Then the electrician came and set up the solar battery to the iPad so I can read how much power I’m using and making. The solar electrician inadvertently switched off power to the garage door and I couldn’t shut it. This is 7 pm. After lots of text messages all fixed. Foot note, I’m amazed at how much passive energy I’m using over night.

What a lot of hassles, Chookie ... yes the amount of passive energy we all use without even knowing it because everything we use slowly slurps it up, is surprising.

Lat night was our staff Xmas dinner.  Good fun and a good evening was had by all.  We invited a couple of ex-employees so it was great to catch up with them.

Actually after 9 pm last night DH was sent the pathology results - all good . What a relief as they demanded that when the stitches come out the DR be there . So I was quietly stressing. It’s so cold today . Chookie sounds like you are having a battle with the garage door.

Finely I managed to get a hair cut , thankful as it was too long . Approved by DH and DD which is always nice . Did a quick shop . Ironed pants for DH for tomorrow. Off in the morning for DH yo have all his stitches out.

Good news re your DH’s news KAtie. Make sure he has his check ups, they are VERY important. I have lost 2 acquaintances who had melanoma and never bothered with their check ups.

Gym. Cleaner coming but her mum very ill in Nursing home. Getting organized for weekend.
