Happy its Friday. my DH can go food shopping today, so I can have 2 days home to cook all weekend.

I'm happy that is Friday and I'm not at work.
Happy too that my UK chocolate book was in the post office box today. 
Happy too that I've decided to cancel housecleaning day today, due to lack of interest!

Happy that we are home safe and sound after a week in KL.
Had a ball, ate some amazing food from night hawkers markets and street vendors carts - most of it unknown, but the identified bits were frogs, pork (hmmm maybe not...it was Ramadan there! Cat maybe??  :o) chicken, fish, prawns, Indian, Thai and beef - although I think it was buffalo or yak...it was hairy and black and not good!
The unidentified bits - tasted good and I do not want to know what it was!
The girls loved it, were up for trying anything different and coped well with all the chilli.
The funniest bit was when a pickpocket tried to see/feel if I had any pockets when we were in some busy place. I knew there was someone right behind me and he was pretty close, but didn't realise what he was doing until I felt him brush my backside. Poor sod came up empty handed as I didn't have pockets in those pants and had everything in my backpack which was on my front! When I turned to laugh at him he was long gone...they're quick!
The traffic was incredible, we saw no sun due to the fires in Indonesia and we are now on a "no oil" diet due to eating way too much palm oil.

Nikkit, glad that you had a ball :) Cats are not eaten at all in Malaysia. A certain species of frog is eaten by some of the more adventurous folks, not majority though. Too yucky for me ;D

Common meats: chicken, lots of seafood, beef and pork. Malays don't eat pork. Indian like mutton.

A lovely thread!  Happy I managed to find sme pantry essentials in Chinatown. Happy I went to a friend's casual party and ended up getting an invitation t start a toddler play group for DD!!!  :D

DD my commiserations.  Most of my friends had to return to work today.
Happy that I am retired. Am planning the trip, and doing housework. No more doing it at night.
