Hello my Australian reading friends (and those elsewhere if you are so inclined)! When was the last time you read a book by an Australian woman writer? Interested in righting a nasty gender bias against them in this country?http://www.lambsearsandhoney.com/2013/02/the-australian-women-writers-challenge/
I loved them too Kezza and I was really disappointed that none of my 4 kids got into Enid Blyton when they were young. I loved the Nancy Drew books too but Enid Blyton was my favourite
with a remarkable rhythm to it.
I've just finished 'The Mother's Group' by Fiona Higgins. Took me a couple of chapters to get into it, but a good read in the end. Now I've started 'The Pursuit of Love' by Nancy Mitford, just for something completely different! I've also downloaded Gone Girl - has anyone read this? Got some good reviews...
I love Jo Nesbo. Have you tried Camilla Lackberg? Hers are very good too.
