Just tried to reserve Consider the Fork and not one library in Lake Macquarie has it. I'm not buying anymore more books now and don't have a kindle so will have to suggest the library get it in.  :)

I've just finished reading "Watching the Dark" by Peter Robinson - just a murder mystery, but just what I wanted!
Have now begun Jessie Blackadder's "Chasing the Light" - a novel about the first women in Antarctica and part of my commitment for the Australian Women's Writers challenge. Actually, I'd probably read it just because of her name - it's fabulous!

That's it I'm going to down load Touch and Go. I've been watching it for a while. Thanks Jude59.

I'm trying to cut down my book spending, so it's library books for me...(spent all my book money on kids books!  :D )
Finally reading "One for the money" by Janet Evanovich - the series was recommended to me many moons ago, but never saw the first one one the shelves until now.

My cookbook addiction has spread to all other books. It happened on the day I was given my first pocket money I think. I must have spent a million dollars over the years on books. Once I have read them I hand them on.  The ereader has stopped that.

That is probably my least favourite part of the ereader - not being able to share.
Mum and I got the same reader so we do at least still swap (although that's kinda a one way street - she's not that computer savvy, so only buys books when I am there to do the purchasing & downloading for her  :D )

My other issue is it going flat in the middle of reading!  It doesn't happen too often, but when it does...  >:(

I am the same cookie and remember using my pocket money to buy Nancy Drew books and the Famous Five series. I always passed on my books too but now share my kindle account  with my 2 DD's, DH , DIL, SIL and GD so I think we get our money's worth and a great variety of books.

I am reading 1356 by Bernard Cornwell. It is set in France during the 100 year war.  I am really enjoying it.

I enjoyed Agincourt too. CC. Though I didn't read it, DW and I listened to it while driving over summer.

I have also enjoyed some of the Sharpe books and the Starbuck series by Cornwell.
