Questions of Travel was a waste of my time. Some lovely bits of prose, but 2 dimensional characters, untidy story lines and a weak ending. Gah!

For those of you who loved The Hundred Foot Journey you might  another of Richard Morais  books. Buddhaland Brooklyn. I am loving it. Also downloaded  The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith AKA A K Rowling.

DD has downloaded that too I must put it onto my ereader. I wading through a Nicole Alexander book I was given. Not brilliantly written or even a good story. A bit of a waste of time but I want to find out what happens.
I won Tropic of Death by Robert Sims the other day so I may have a look at that next.

I'm half way through "The Memory of Running" by Ron McLarty. It's not my usual sort of book but I am really enjoying it!

Finished Questions of Travel and want that time back.
Also read "May We Be Forgiven" by A.M. Homes, a book about families, or one in particular. Not the greatest book I've ever read, but enjoyable and worth a go.

Yesterday I finished reading Hannah Kent's "Burial Rites".  It is completely brilliant. A beautifully researched and told story of the circumstances and characters around the last ever executions in Iceland in 1830.  What is really amazing is that it is written by a young woman from the Adelaide Hills.  I loved it and can't recommend it highly enough.

Now I've just started Fuchsia Dunlop's "Sharks Fin and Szechuan Pepper". Good so far.

I finished the Secret Race and now I am working my way through "Mapping Le Tour", a history of all 100 Tour de France races. I am also reading "Iron War". It is about the battle between two of Triathlons greatest athletes in the early eighties.

I also enjoy fiction and classics.   ;D  DW bought these for me yesterday when she went shopping while I went riding.  ;D
