No pic yet but I received a wonderful gift yesterday from DH - a blue quaker parrot.  He was supposed to be here when DH arrived home from Sydney but theb reeders were unable to get HIM on a flight form Melbourne until Monday.  DH and DD decided that Charlie, DD's cockatiel really needed to go home after still being here since first week in Jan, so have bought me a blue baby. For those who have no idea about quakers - here is a baby

Oh wow. Quakers are so cute. I nearly got 1 last week to hand rear.
Quakers can be really good talkers too. :)

I've never heard of a quaker Robyn, the baby is gorgeous.   I do like the blue one best.

....never fear lovelies - DH and DD had an information sheet for me as I too had never heard of them.  DD had researched thoroughly and decided that type would best suit.  The image in the above post was to enlighten you - my blue boy arrives on a flight tomorrow afternoon.  The name being floated at present - Daks (as the image below is the first I had seen and he looks like he is wearing trousers) - suggestions are welcome!!! xx

Apparently the Quakers are the 4th best talking birds in the world. They can learn lots of words. Be warned they can be demanding of your time as well (bit like my Billy).
