CADA
« on: June 02, 2009, 05:02:13 pm »
Has someone got the CADA recipe? I know it's Coconut, Apple, Dates, Almonds (hence CADA) but I don't know the quantities and how long to whizz it, etc.

i think it's totally flexible - put in quantities that you enjoy and whiz (turbo) til you get a consistency you enjoy ;)

they are chopped and mixed, cindy o/meara suggests it as a healthy breakfast

i tried it and it's yummy all right but i can't eat it as raw apple, nuts and coconut all upset my tummy LOL

Thanks Karen, I have her TMX book but it isn't in there.  In fact only tried one thing in it (Zucchini slice), hated it and haven't tried another thing in there so that was a waste of money.

that's a shame judy :( i would probably buy it off you if you wanted to sell it?

i think the recipe is in her changing habits book. it used to be on her site but has disappeared along with the salt recipe when she redid it.

You can have it Karen, just PM your address to me. Rather see it getting used than just sitting there never being referred to.

Hi Ayla,

This recipe is in the vegetarian cookbook:

CADA Breakfast:
• Handful of shredded coconut
• Handful of almonds
• Handful of pitted dates
• 1 apple quartered

These are the quantities in the book and you just pulse it with the turbo button two or three times.

Great - I've been looking for this because we loved the taste of it at the Cindi Demo the other night, but missed seeing how it was made!

Is there a separate Cindi O'Meara TMX cookbook? I looked for it at the demo, but could only see her "regular" changing lives cookbook...

Argh - can't believe I missed it because I looked at the book tables at the front and back - clearly my children's ability to miss things right in front of them is easy to explain...

Was it in the TMX newsletter or the Cindi one? Ah found it! Thank you - should have googled my inbox first! And would love to look at the "real" cookbook!

Hi VC, I asked about the Cyndi TMX booklet, and they said they were sold out. I was looking out for it myself :)

The CADA at the demo also had linseeds. I didn't get the quantity so I just add 2 tablespoons at the start, grind it, then add the other ingredients and pulse.

I have had it for brekky 2 days in a row :) It's wonderful isn't it!

Missed you the other night Karen! :( I'd love to see those books too sometime :)
