Thanks for that info thermo18, I had no idea :-))  Mine was also posted on the 3rd but Perth is just that bit further away so you certainly should receive it on Monday.

How lovely JD to get a bonus (especially when you don't know about it and it's a total surprise  :))

We made our first pizza's tonight and they were lovely.  We used the bought pita bread bases as recommended by Maddy, along with some pizza sauce that was in the freezer.  My DH overloaded his pizza with toppings, so his didn't turn out as good or taste as nice as mine  ;D.  I always tell him "less is more" when it comes to making a pizza.

Very easy and much faster than our normal method of cooking them on the pizza stone on the BBQ.
Next time we will try with home made pizza dough.

Nice little bonus Judy.  You need to play with the machine a little,  to get used to it.

I've seasoned it already Chookie, that's a start.  The book will be going to bed with me tonight then I might be ready to make a plain old Hawaiian pizza tomorrow.  Boring I know but I have all the ingredients for that and it really is my favourite pizza.

Hopefully DH has got the message that less is best Katie, it's so easy to just keep adding the toppings but that is so unItalian isn't it?
I will be interested to hear if the pita bases are as good as homemade dough too. If there is no noticeable difference it makes you wonder why we would bother and I might even be able to shed the guilt feeling I would have by not making my own  :-))  Did you get 2 cutters with your pizza maker?  Don't know why we would need 2, I'm sure there should only have been 1 in there.

Do you mean these things Judy? I thought they were for lifting the pizza off the stone, like spatulas? I didn't think they were cutters. I better go read the booklet!

I am sure they are for lifting the pizza off the stone Katie. I have been using them this way for years now.
Maybe I am wrong ???
JD I truly prefer home made pizza dough. It's a personal preference but I like mine thin and the bought onesnare thicker..
My DD loves Bazzar brand and says I am crazy making my own  ;)

No, I would be the one whose wrong  :P  I haven't read the book yet but yes I can see they would be lifters.  Silly me, might have worked it out when I went to put the pizza on the stone.  Thanks girls.

I couldn't find the bases Maddy recommended so bought the Bazzar brand that JulieO uses.
Will make my own eventually but I have a big weekend entertaining wise and don't the time just now.

My DD swears by them Michele so you won't go wrong. Seems like lots of people use them. I just like mine really thin which is why I like to make my own .

That's good to know MF.

Nothing special, just family and friends getting together at our home. I'm excited that my brother and SIL are coming. There is only my brother and myself and we are fairly close. DB and SIL have been on holiday so haven't seen them for about 3 months. They will pick mum up on the way. And I will have all the children and spouses, girl/boy friends except my daughter and SIL, they already had plans.

The silver thingies are for lifting the pizza on and off the stone, I put the base on these make the pizza and then put on the stone.

Had the bazaar bases last night as the others were sold out. They don't crisp as well as the Pittes brand but still nice.
