I usually stand there and hold it. Too scared to do anything else.

Same...kneading doesn't go for long anyway, so everything else can wait  ;)

I was concerned DD would be 21 before we got there. I think it was more me than her though.

After more investigation and closer inspection today, it appears that the only casualties of TMX hitting the tiles are the lid and the blades ........ one of the little plastic things broke off the blade set, and that is why it leaks.  If I put the other set of blades into the (dented) jug, it works fine and doesnt leak.

So the cost of the new blades and new lid is around $200 ...... which is much cheaper than buying a whole new TMX, and cheaper than a new bowl and blades set.  So DH is kind of off the hook ...

Especially since I got a speeding fine in the mail today, which cost more than the replacement blades and lid  :o :o :-X :-X

Glad you have it worked out Karen - don't you just hate those speeding fines.  Yes all even in the house but 2 expenses you could have done without  ;)

Thanks for posting Karen I will take better precautions when I use the kneed function, I was probably a bit casual about it! Great we can learn from your DH, he can be thanked for that at least! Emma

Thanks for posting Karen, I often duck off into my mini kitchen - the TM sits on a bench around the corner as there's no room - I am aware that is moves and I tend to hover close enough to catch it *grin*.  There's have been some great suggestions here so I'll be using the bowl in front strategy I think.
