I think it shoud be as close to Christmas day as possible. I'm big on not trying to guess or open presents before the big day.

I think we decided on a range of $10-20 :)

Depending on what food, how far your gift has to travel etc, food might not be the best choice. Unless it is something really hardy. Like vegemite ;D ;D
