Oh my happy Aunt, how I would love to wake up to those views - do you plan on using the walker MF? Even I could walk for miles on that machine with the view to take my mind off it
It sounds as if there is going to have to be a lot of compromise as far as meals go. That was the same when we took my parents on a 4 day return trip to Melbourne on the ship Virgo, a beautiful ship which was sent here because of some health problems in the part of the world where it was supposed to be doing it's cruising as all trips were cancelled over there. It only cost us $400 each to leave from our own Port and return to it so it was something we had to take advantage of. My parents were most uncomfortable eating in the silver service, a la carte dining room so the understanding was that we would eat there one night and in the buffet the next - worlds apart but they were far more relaxed in the buffet area. I had to choose and order for them in the a la carte.

Lake Tepako is very beautiful indeed. MF I hate that gondola thing going up to the restaurant I a not good with heights. The first time we went up there, after dinner DH and DD went on the luge. Once more I was chicken.

Mum has taken her first shot with a complete person in it and I had no idea she was trying. She is very proud as I thought she was inside filling her wine glass!! A beautiful evening here and we ad a lovely day in Arrowtown although somewhat cloudy.
We went to the old Chinese mining village after we had lunch. Have a few photos to follow. Just met a coupe from perth who know two of our friends. It's a small world.

My mum is absolutely scared to go on it as well and I totally chickened out of the Luge like you Cookie. . I am ok on the gondola going up and down when facing the mountain as you can't see the height. But facing the the lake I am not in a good place. Unfortunately when I go with mum I ave to take the outward view or she would pass out. Going there as mum is a fussy eater, to put it mildly, and she enjoys buffets.. She almost trips over herself trying to get to the dessert bar. It's hilarious
Having bubbles on the balcony now and a beautiful evening here.

Your views are similar to what ours were. Was lovely having a lounge and bedroom opening out to such a beautiful view!

Thanks DJ. I think I was texting DH in that photo.
Mum usually misses out heads when she takes photos but got this one right as she was concentrating on the view so I was secondary which meant she got all of me in it .
I think I read in one of your posts that you like NZ.
Have you been here? It's a beautiful country.
Gert is spot on as this forum is fantastic
