OMG that must have been sooooo scary. You were very lucky thankfully.
That's very sad about SIL and 61 is way too young.
Should have realized by the mc mich that there was a Scottish connection.
Have you or DH been to Scotland? It's beautiful but climate is awful  :(

I haven't MF. DH lived there for a year. Had a wonderful time, drove a truck delivering samosas (a lot that never reached their destination). A barman, well no profit for that Inn. He has great photos and wonderful memories of that time.

MF, DH went with his cousin whom he grew up with, they are 10 days apart. they bought a campervan. Apparently their is a square in ? the UK where everyone that's travelling puts their vans up for sale. They stayed in that and worked their way around Scotland.  :)

Haven't heard of that square Michele but I have been here since 1981 and was 26 when we arrived.
Campervans are a great way to travel and work in another country. How long ago was that?

It's another world away. We arrived with DS aged 4 and DD aged 2. Now 36 and 34 another DS 30 and DD 28 us 10 Gc's and one due boxing day. If we had stayed in scotland we would not have had DS 2 and DD 2

Lucky that you migrated then MF. You look way too young to have a 36yr old son. Must be that good Scottish skin.

Yes Michele no regrets at all as I wouldn't be without any of them. Not only that but we are now so multicultural as DS1 married an Aussie girl, DD 1 married to a Swiss guy, DS 2 married to an Italian girl and DD2 to an African guy from Zimbabwe. All get along well together and no regrets about coming to this amazing country. Thanks for the compliment but photos hide the lines!!!
How many kids do you have?

You have one step DD at home is that right?

Overcast day here in Queenstown but sun trying to break through.
A drive up to Glenorchy today I think.
Tomorrow our last full day here.
