I will be going to Hawaii whether or not I give up the cleaner. Just the extra $2,500 spending money to consider. I could always do an extra shift at work and get extra cash spending money that way too - probably will. Will also be selling some things on ebay etc.

I only got the cleaner because I had a hissy fit when I got back from WA and the place looked like a bomb had hit it. There is only DH and myself and the main bathroom only gets used once a fortnight or when visitors come. Its washing the floors - a big job - I don't have any carpet not even in the bedrooms.

Just caught up with this thread.  Amanda when do expect the cut off date to be?  We are hoping to go away mid to late August but have booked nothing as yet so hopefully I will be able to come.  Wayne has also said that he is willing to pickup from the airport once flights and dates are confirmed.

It is easy Robyn - have sold heaps of things. The fees vary from free to how many photos you put up. I usually manage a 99c fee at the most. Haven't sold anything on gumtree but have bought a few things. They say it is free to advertise.

Originally the get together was going to be in June and I couldn't come. It's now in August? Maybe?
DH and I have a busy start to the year with lot's of mini vacations and are planning to go to Hawaii in April 2014. I know it's a year away but we have started our savings plan already. I have cancelled my cleaner at $76 a fortnight it will mean $2508 for spending money.  I could use some of that money for SA. Will have a think about it.

Oooohhhh Mich, your going to love Hawaii, Aloha, keep an eye on the US$, you might want to buy some if it starts to drop.

We will be back there on our cruise 4 or 5 islands. Shame our last trip was so bad with my shoulder, look after your boy, you dont want to be hotel ridden like me.

My memory of the bar at the Crowne Plaza is that it is large enough to accommodate us, but if someone wants to check it out, great!
