Okay - got confirmation re the rate at Crowne Adelaide.  It will be $185 per night, which includes full breakfast.  If more than one in a room, there will be an extra charge of $25 to cover the breakfast.  This is a very good rate for this hotel.

I'll be having a chat with them when I get home from Melbourne about organising a dinner too.

We'll need some firm idea of numbers - not exact, but it would be good if I could give them a ball park figure.
Judy, could you start a list of all those who will definitely be staying there, please?

I just rang the Crowne Plaza to see what the room configurations are in case some people want to double up. They have standard rooms with 2 double beds at a nightly rate of $227.50 and those rooms with 1 double bed are also $227.50.  She was hard to understand but I did question the first rate for 2 people, was it $227.50 each and she said it was the nightly rate.  Would that be right - 2 people can stay in a room with a bed each for the same price as 1 person in a room? This would be why the second person has to pay $25 for their breakfast.

Without breakfast the room rate becomes $187 so Amanda's price of $185 including breakfast is very good.

If we could get a rough estimate of who will be staying at this hotel and who will be sharing, it would be appreciated.  I know it is still early days but some of us must know for sure that we are going to make it.

Over to you girls.

Sorry I can't confirm this early. I need to see when my conference is on (usually July so that should be ok) and how the business is going. I will need return flights from Armidale to Sydney then Sydney to Adelaide. That could get expensive. Then the room rates on top of that and spending money. As our business is new and all our extra cash is going towards stock, money is tight ATM.

Amy & MF, are you sharing a room or do you both want a single room for the 3 nights?

Sounds good and it is apparently right next door to the Crowne, right?  Now all you need are 2 more people to share with you Uni.

JD I haven't discussed this with Amy but I would like a room by myself as I very rarely have my own space
