Victor Harbour is lovely too - and you need to pass through McLaren Vale on the way....

Another goodie ES. Beautiful.

Don't worry about us if Aug/Sept suits most others.

DJ,  we were hoping to fit in a quick visit to London,  but not possible this time. We will be 4 weeks in Turkey and 2 in Spain.

I'm  not denying its hard work, cos it is, but it was fun to see so many people enjoy the whole experience including myself. I would love to organise the next one however I'm turning the big five oh next year and going to Europe for a month possibly in June. I could help as  I would love to and I've got the experience, and I've kept absolutely everything including my shopping list  ;) As for transport etc, we couldn't have gone more than 30 otherwise it gets harder to get something big enough and also for tours etc and  they are unable to have a large group like that turn up on their doorstep even with prior warning. 30 was quite good as everyone was able to mingle and get to know each other. I also think that one of the main advantages I had was I basically had the location and accommodation sorted before everything else.

I could help organise, but I doubt if I could do it all myself (no experience and I have a full-time job).
Would be great though if we could have it here in Adelaide.
Maybe we would need an organising committee!

The TM forum committee! Hey, thats actually a great idea Katie. We could have a couple of representatives from each state who could take turns organising TM events :D

Just thinking aloud... ;D

Conference Centre. July. Two buses. Two tours  20 ppl each . Limit of 40. Booked and paid by June 1 . Keep it simple.  Locals to provide transport to venue where possible. Interstaters to stay at Judy's place on the way. Joke Judy!!

I'm in! I have a heap of Frequent Flyer points to use up.
Sorry, can't be on the organising committee though. I'm flat out as it is.
I'd love to visit the Barossa or Clare Valleys.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

And pick up,a few on the way!

A committee usually delivers  a camel. One person with local knowledge engaging a professional perhaps.  No school hol period. Off season rates.  Everyone meet at venue.  Check in. Meet in bar. Cheap set dinner. breakfast included. Lunch on Sat  at a winery.  Dinner ? Sun breakfast included. On yer bike back to JD's. JOKE JUDY.

Not hard. Just need a place and engage one of the wonderful tour bus  companies to organise the two Sat tours which will meet up for lunch.

And if we organise now we have 7/8 months to plan and save.

Gert

I'd forgotten that, Gert - A camel is the horse that is designed by the committee . . . . I've been on so many committees over the years particularly when my children were young . . . and believe me, there were plenty of camels!!! ;D ;D
