I was given a wonderful cookbook for my birthday. It is "the Great British Bake Off"
I was reading a baking magazine I had bought online and it had quite a few recipes from this book so I can't wait to get started. Just need to shake this hay fever.

I should be getting my new EDC book next Thursday, excited (although not sure why I'm excited about a reprint of a book I already have - guess that's the cookbook addiction kicking in!).

I love the Great British Bake Off Cookie and I have the book also.  My DH and I are currently enjoying the second season of The Great British Bake Off on Foxtel.  My DH loves it, says it currently his favourite show  ;D
(I don't think he's baked a cake or baked anything for that matter in his life!)

We don't have foxtel, probably lucky or I would be watching too many cooking things.
I am hanging out to give a few things a try. I see you can also access recipes online using a word from the book. Very cunning.

I am tempted to get it too Katie,  but apparently existing owners can only order it till the end of May!?
Is love to hear your thoughts on it... My consultant said there are 4 new recipes,  some omissions,  serving sizes and nutritional values.  It does "look"  nice.  My real question though is if they have 'tweaked' many recipes... Then I might consider buying it.
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/

Hi Jamberie!  My consultant dropped it in to me at work yesterday.  We were out until late last night, so I haven't really looked at it yet.  My first thought is it looks a lot nicer than the old EDC, as it looks more like a "normal" cookbook.  The spiral binding, whilst ugly, meant the old EDC would sit open and was easy to use.  I'm not sure this new book will sit flat whilst opened, which really annoys me with cookbooks.

I'm not sure if it's only available until the end of May for existing owners.  Maybe a question for a consultant?

I plan on having a better look over the weekend and seeing if I can see what recipes are new and which ones have been tweaked.  I'll get back to you with my thoughts...
I'll also drop it down to Judy one day soon and she can have a look and comment also.
