Hello from China!

Good morning (or evening) everyone!
Just received my thermomix 5 days ago and allready love it
We moved to Shanghai 6 month ago and I had a really hard time to get back in my kitchen. I convinced my husband to get one has a great healthy cooker, now I have to proved him that it was the right decision !!!!
So far I did saffron risotto (kids love it), different kind of soup veggie, zucchini, miso, carrot .Different ice cream and smoothie for the kids ( strawberry one and mango).
My 11 year old loves my new toy and always want to help me.
We have 4 kids, two in college ( one in US and the other one in Spain) and the two youngest ones are with us in China.
English is not my native language so thank you for excusing my mistake
(we are originally from France).
I am so excited to join this wonderful group and I hope one day I would be able to help and share recipe.

Hi Agnes and a very warm welcome to the forum
It sounds like you are having a wonderful time with your new TM, at this rate Im sure it won't take very long to prove to your husband that this was an excellent idea `of yours'
Im sure many of us were of the same mind when first purchasing our TM's, first we had to justify the purchase to ourselves and our husbands/partners, then we needed to prove it...they say the proof is in the pudding,
, luckily our TM's have all areas covered.
How lovely that your son wants to help and how lucky are you with two kitchen helpers now hehe.
He's a smart boy...he already knows that yummy things come out of that new kitchen toy, so if he helps, he will reap the rewards of his labour...not that cooking in TM is laborious, just the opposite.
I hope you will feel right at home here, it's a lovely place to be, I only joined a couple of months ago but I have told many about this forum and how welcoming, supportive and helpful the forum members are.
Happy cooking

Hi and welcome Agnes. What an international family! Shanghai sounds very exotic and beautiful. You'll have to track down some local recipes.

Welcome the the Forum Agnes. I love Shanghai, been there several times. I am cooking a Chinese type braised Chicken dish tonight. Maybe you can cook some french/Asian meals in your Thermi.
