Need some ideas I have no bread crumbs or old bread or plain savoury biscuits and I am making tuma patties any other ideas?

My mum's standard stand by for bread crumbs was Wheatbix or crushed cornflakes.
I use them all the time to top casseroles etc.

My nana always put cocked rice in her tuna patties, and the rice would go slightly crunchy when they were cooked.

Thanks guys running next door was option..they live off lite and easy lol and no other neighbours home didn't have cornflkes so have done potato with wheatbix too ..was not going back to shop went yesterday and this morning!! Will let you know verdict!

How did you go natnum??
I would say any dry cereal .. corn flakes.. not sure weetbix would work?? puffed rice or quinoa etc or crackers or not crumb them and just fry them as is with mash in them or something

My Mum only ever used mashed potatoes in her patties and then just in flour before cooking - no need for breadcrumbs at all!

My mum used crushed potato chips then baked them in the oven. They were really nice but I'm not sure how healthy they were. She would also put them on top of tuna mornays.The crushed chips that is

I only ever use mashed potato in my tuna and salmon patties. I then coat them in seasoned rice flour.
