Hello fellow forum users . My name is Bruce, I am  a Master Chef and owner of a dining establishment named Teatro Limon, Here in Sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

unbelievable, i am a brand new user of the Thermomix

I will be combing through the recipes trying a few , before developing a bunch of my own
If by chance i use a persons recipes in any one of my dishes i a shall give you top honors with a great photo

What a lovely surprise to have a new member from Mexico join us and a chef to boot - we couldn't ask for more.  Thanks for joining us Bruce (a very Mexican name  ) and we look forward to hearing which recipes you are using and seeing what you can develop from the Thermomix method.  Mexican food is very popular in our family - my 4.5 yr old grandson and his father would choose a Mexican restaurant over any other every time if he had his way.  I had a Mexican dinner party here years ago for the neighbours which was a lot of fun too.

A very warm welcome to the forum, Bruce.  How wonderful to have someone join us from Puerto Vallarta!  I had the opportunity to visit Mexico many years ago and since then have kept a treasured volume of Diana Kennedy's The Cuisines of Mexico.  Absolutely fell in love with the country and the people!   ( tourista. of course, notwithstanding!!      )

Welcome to the forums! from Mexico and a chef! Well I can't wait to see what you come up with. I love mexican food. I haven't made any Mexican with the Thermomix as yet. I really should.

Sme of the most memorable moments in my life happened in Mexico. Some I might rather forget especially my time in a little village steam  bath complex!  NUFF said about that.

The Mexican cuisine is amazing and so varied. From all over Mexico come fresh seafood, meats vegetables and hundreds of ways to prepare and cook them.

I have rarely  had an authentic Mexican style meal in Australia and avoid those  themed  Restaurants  at all costs.  Actually I did have one of the best Mexican meals in a restaurant in Perth many years ago. It was owned by a couple who had migrated from Mexico and there was not one thing on the menu  that gave a clue to what we plebs would think would be on  a Mexican  menu.

One of the best meals I have ever  had in Mexico was a very early morning ride in to country outside Mexico City to a  road side shack where I had the hottest most garlicky soup ever which was a great hangover cure .  This was followed by a further drive to a roadside stall selling nothing but pork with the whole pig skins tossed in a boiling vat of fat producing the most wonderful crackling sold by the kilo. This place had a very bad Mariachi band  playing . Our crazy host  who was also suffering a hangover paid  the band to stop playing while we had a few MORE beers and ate yet another hangover cure. Feeling much better our host then gave the band  more money to play again.   Our friend  kept many pesos in his car to bribe the several police who stopped us while driving back toMexico City while absolutely shickered. He also kept a loaded pistole under the drivers seat but did t have to use it. The police seemed happy enough with pesos!
