She's pretty good actually.  After about a week of wearing knickers during the day she suddenly decided that she was going to wear knickers to bed - she is as head strong as both her parents so it was her way or the highway!! LOL.  The only time we run into problems (like last night) is when she has fallen asleep in the car on the way home.  She spends Wednesdays with Mum, so we stay there for dinner (love Wed nights!!!) then come home.  Usually I remember to put a night time nappy on her when that happens as it usually ends in disaster - but got distracted with the heater that has decided to pack it in - so we're having frosts and no heater!! The "good" news (NOT) is that I have to wait till Monday  :o :o before they'll fix it.  >:( >:(

Just you wait Thermomixer  ;)

And yes - pull up nappies for the "big" boys and girls...

I am a cold frog at night. Last night I had the flanellette pj's, a long sleeve shirt under that, explorer socks, plus all the blankets and throws that I could find to throw over my woolen doona and woolen underlay....  :-))

Have been holding off purchasing an electric blanket but this might just push me to the edge of no return....

Yes, get yourself an electric blanket ILB then you can go to bed early with a good book (or a laptop maybe??) Or sit under a blanket with some heat bags to watch TV.  Or move back in with Mum until the heater is fixed!!!! Roll on Monday aye??

Good idea Judy. Think I'll go shopping tomorrow morning!

Mum's bringing in a spare heater she has in the morning and tonight I think i'll run a hot bath, have a cuppa and then rug up to go to bed  ;)

YAY!! Julie's through.  Sorry to the serious foodies out there - but I like that 'comfort' food and can perhaps relate to her disorganisation, panic, etc.

we LOVE our wheatbags, i seriously can't sleep without mine to warm up my feet!

I LOVE YOU KAREN!!! I forgot - I do have a wheat bag! Wonder if I could make MUCH bigger - then could snuggle up to it...  ;) :D :D  But I will dust off the old one and warm it up before hopping into bed. *** cough*** *** cough****

Go Julie - think she is most committed.  Really can;t believe the dishes that they have tried making in the last week or so.

Why not do something that takes 20 minutes or so - salmon cooks quickly, looks good and has so many combinations that are photogenic.

I love beef cheeks and pigs' trotters - but one recipe calls for the beef cheeks to be cooked for 40 hours - not in 3 hours.

Hmmm think the universe is trying to tell me something - this subject doesn't pop up in my unread or unread replies...

:D :D :D Yay! Julie and Poh are through.  (tears of Joy)
I'd still be interested to read Chris's " Nose to tail - Stout to Ale"  Great name for a cookbook and I love cooking with beer and wine.  I love Julie's honesty with her emotions and her cooking.  Imagine if on the appliance shelf in the MasterChef kitchen they had the TM31.  Maybe they wouldn't be so rushed with things having to hand stir and watch everything???

Go Po!  I wish they both could win :(

I'm hoping Julie will win. I love her 'homely' thoughts. It will be interesting to see what Chris has to say in the media about his leaving.

Did anyone think that they would like the tomato dessert?  I think that it goes better with yoghurt or vanilla ice cream.

It is worth trying -trust me.  It is not that fiddly.
