Hi I really need a thermoserver but I bought my machine outright and didn't have a demo. As I understand you cannot buy them so what else could I buy to do the job?

You can buy food thermos bowls from Ikea and Indian grocery shops nm76. I have one of the Indian store ones and it's fine. I do like the thermomix ones though but there's no chance of buying one, they are strictly for people who have a demo.

Hi NM. Yes, Judy has explained it well.
I thought I'd just mention that in July this year, if you do happen to have a small demo (you and two other friends or relations) then you receive both Thermoserver 2 litre and the new 2.5 litre oval Thermoserver.
They go for ridiculous prices on e-Bay but for existing owners there is a special on where you can buy them a very low price if you host a demo or get them both free if someone happens to buy but that must be within three days of your demo.
Have a look on

BZB... I bought this at my local Indian grocer here in Sydney.. It came in two sizes and is very efficient . I'll check for the actual volume.

BZB - these were in two sizes. The larger one holds just under 2 litres and the smaller one holds just under 1 1/2 litres.

Sorry I've taken so long to put my photo up BZB, been galavanting today. Mine is plastic with a stainless steel liner from the Indian Grocery Shop and holds 1.5 litres.

I believe that Ikea is no longer selling their insulated bowl, which is a pity as I really like mine and used it tonight.

Thanks guys, very helpful. I made 2 curries last night and something like these containers would have been very helpful. I am in Perth so will look for an Indian shop to see what they have.

I also saw the same brand at a shop at broadmeadows shopping centre in (i think) 4 litre size

I must admit I love my 3 thermoserves & use at least one every day.
Not sure what is so specal about the oval one.
Tupperware has a thermal dish, just bought one, i now use it for my soups & rice as it can go in the microwave
