I can't see them either. Damn, I wonder what happened to them?
I can see them on tapatalk!
Today we travelled from Port Augusta to Wilpena Pound. The scenery has been lovely and the pound is very pretty. A lot of old tumble down historical buildings. Quorn is lovely, and we had lunch in Hawker.
It is so lovely here, we are all set up and comfortable among beautiful trees.
I am having trouble loading photos at the moment, I'll try again later.

Geoff's Grandfather once had a hotel in Hawker Cookie but I think they pulled it down and reassembled it somewhere else.

We've had plenty of rain this winter so everything should be looking very green and lush up there.  Nice to see you are running nicely with the itinerary you sent me.

Thanks Judy. There are still a couple there.
I think tapatalk is my photo problem.

We have made it. We arrived in Birdsville mid afternoon today. We have seen some amazing things and places and taken wonderful photos.
I want to re name the post " Around Australia Inland"   We started in WA, then to SA, now we are in QLD, in a few days we will be in NSW, then to the tip of Victoria,.  A small circle inland taking in several states.
We are camped on the billabong in Birdsville. We plan on a beer at the pub tomorrow as we can walk back to camp. I'll try and post photos if tapatalk will let me.
The get together at Chookie's and Ral's sounded wonderful.

You certainly look the part Cookie, nice to see you enjoying yourself.  A little ahead of schedule I see.  Thanks for the lovely photos, 'camped by the billabong' - now wasn't there a song with that line  ;D

Gert you are so right about the sky. We have all been happily surprised with it. It seems to be extra blue.
We plan to spend today walking round, washing and relaxing. That way we don't use the cars and don't have to put down the camps.

Yes Judy we are a little ahead of our plans. But we will stay here an extra night. Thank you for all your good wishes.
I guess I had better get up now, the rest of the camp are up and have had breakfast!

Today we left our camps set up and walked round Birdsville. It is only small so was easy to do. We had a coffee at the bakery. It was lovely and the service was so quick. The people in the information bay were knowledgable and helpful. We had a drink in the pub and then dinner. Great service, friendly people and not a bad meal. We didn't have to cook it or wash up.
We love Birdsville, it seems so friendly and we think a great place.

I am loving  your trip Cookie the photos are gorgeous. That pub menu made me laugh. ;D
Sounds like you are all having a great time. You will have clocked up quite a number of kilometres by the time you get home.
