Have spent most of the day trying to buy a limited amount of time for iPad.
Grand Hyatt bit in need of Reno but the food is outstanding. Have taken photos, will post when I can.

Morning all. It is 4.30 am and Ral has just left for a Balloon ride over Cappadocia. This is the most amazing place. I will try and post photo.
We flew in from Istanbul yesterday. We are a party of about 100. We are staying at the Cappadocia Cave Resort. all the Hotel rooms are built into the side of the hills. Our first room was a cave room, I requested a change as there were no windows at all and out our front door was a great big rock. ,,, we are now in a room, also carved into the rock, beautifully appointed, and with a window.
The early Christians fled and lived in these caves that they carved out of the rock.
Dinner last night was beautifully presented and delicious. The food on the whole has been very good. Being Summer, lots of salads and fresh fruit to go with the char grilled meat.
At breakfast yesterday, at the Grand Hyatt, I managed to blow out the lights in the dinning room, trying to make toast that was not just pale heated bread.
We are in the middle of the age and fitness levels of the group. We travel in 3 busses.
We are here for 3 days.
General impression of Turkey, people lovely, food outstanding, traffic in Istanbul, horrific, weather hot, about 30 and humid.
Taking most photos with iPhone, not sure how to post photos. More soon.
Best wishes to all who are travelling , and miss my morning ' Thermo Forum hit'.

Hi Chookie, so Ral is off on that balloon flight. Let us know when he gets back, you know I worry about things like that
It all sounds good, nice and cool in your rock room but managing to change to a room with a window is a nice addition. Had a laugh at you blowing a fuse in the dining room, hope you acted as if it wasn't you but it does sound as if they knew it was
As I thought when my lips started to go numb in Chookieland, I now have a blister appearing on my top lip which will turn into a cold sore with compliments of that freezing cold wind in Daylesford. Thankfully it waited until the forumfest was over to rear it's ugly head.
Have fun, love to you both xx Judy

Chookie looks and sounds like you are really holiday in style. The hotel sounds interesting and great that you were able to change rooms. Hope Ral enjoyed his balloon flight. It's great that we are able to travel along with you.
