Glad alls going well Bess and the Ral was able to do his balloon flight as he had told me that he was really looking forward to it.  Friends of ours were there last year and couldn't do one because of the weather.  Keep having a great time!!

The cave hotel sounds absolutely amazing. I can imagine you would want to crawl under a rock after blowing out the dining room lights  ;D hi Ral, you still look exactly the same - and iPad in hand

I hope the balloon flight went well. I'm not sure how I would go staying in a room without a window.
Thanks for the update, I love reading about everyone's trips.

Thanks Judy, Gert and Wonder.  Took some IPad photos today so I could post.  Gert will try Tapatalk and see what I can do.  Judy,  look after your self.
Visited Fairy Chimineys .  unreal. The ones visited today were used as churches and contain 10 th century frescos.  Crowds awful.  Then visited a family who have lived in a cave house for 20 years. Dishwasher and the works.  All floors covered in beautiful Turkish carpets.  Right on dirt floors.

Gerts  photo shows what the today people are doing with the ancient cave dwellings.  Very upmarket and trendy.  The photo I have posted is of a ' Fairy chiminey'.
Ral loved the Balloon flight.  There were 62 balloons up this morning.  Amazing.

Chookie, thanks so much for sharing your travels. 60 balloons would have looked amazing.  We are thinking of visiting Turkey next year, eagerly following your posts.

Today went to a Turkish factory and a ceramic workshop.  Fascinating.  Tonight we see some Whirling Dervishes.  Tomorrow up at 5.00am and travel all day.  Then to Ephesus and then to boat.  Will post when I can.  CC,  where are you now.?

Bess, those upmarket cave dwellings sound interesting. The fairy chimney's look great - I've got pictures of fairy's being held in them fluttering up and down  ;D Where they used as dwellings?

The dancers look like they would have been lots of fun. Turkey is definitely on my wish list.
