Hope you two have a wonderful trip. We'll all be thinking enviously of you and looking forward to hearing how everything is going if you get a chance to pop on here now and then to keep us up to date with where you are and what mischief you are getting up to.
Have a great time, be safe and enjoy your travels.

Thanks Marina. Will do.
We are flying into Istanbul, a day prior to joining a Captains Choice tour, 'Wonders of the Ancient World and the Black Sea'. After this we are having a week with a private guide to see some extra places not covered by the tour. We then fly to Spain for 2 weeks. Again we are using a private guide. Hope to try some interesting food. We haven't visited either of these countries before so really looking forward to it. We will do our best to keep Forum members posted.

The trip sounds like it will be amazing. I travelled through Spain many years ago and loved every place we visited and still remember a few of the outstanding meals we had. Enjoy and safe travels.

Thanks for all the good wishes. We are sitting in the Emirates lounge watching the planes take off. I had a crab and horseradish fish cake with noodles for dinner, Ral had a small lamb cottage pie. This might be the last communication for a while as we have to buy a SIM card for the I Pad. Heaven only knows if I will get it to work. Help , I think I need CP and,Judy and Gert to give me a hand. Here comes Ral with some nibbles.

This is interesting. This is the plane we are flying on. I took it out of the window of the lounge, you can see the reflection of the lounge and Ral on the right hand side.
