If the egg separator is a YolkR Jeninwa. I had trouble with mine at first.  ;) I found that I needed to use 2 hands to squash the bulb in to suck up the yolk. I have mastered it now and love it.

Yes it's a YolkR cookie, first go was a bit of a disaster, but today it went fine. How many eggs can it suck up at one time? Do you know, I did one egg at a time.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Cookie, I'm the same too. I have a big blue book to write down my recipe conversions, but half the time, I forget to write down what I've done. I made a really nice spiced apple cake with walnuts and raisins yesterday, and should really post the recipe but I forgot to write down my times and speeds. >:(

I only do one egg at a time Jeninwa. I'd hate to risk breaking too many yolks.

Not to my knowledge Hally. I still believe that it will arrive.

I'm sure it will get there. DH always posts his Christmas cards and gifts at least 8 weeks in advance to get to The South Island.

Ah ha, there's the problem, Santa went south instead of north ... there are a lot of mountains in the way so he'll be having to struggle through all the passes and avoiding the keas ... then he's got to fly across the Strait, but once he's done that all will be well and his gift will arrive in Jo's chimney (you DO HAVE A CHIMNEY don't you Jo?).

Goodness me. Hope it arrives very soon Jo.
I have dropped in to say how wonderful the Tala cookie tins are. They keep biscuits fresh and crisp for days and days 8) I made a double batch of weetbix biscuits and they stayed perfectly crunchy for five days (could even be longer except they were all eaten by then). Thanks Cookies SS :)

It is truly the best biscuit barrel I have ever had.

Oh no, there's the problem....although we do have "Santa's Magic Key" which worked for the kids presents  ;)

The last item I ordered from overseas said the expected delivery time was 30-45 days, so with the holidays as well, I'm still optimistic that santa's delivery service is similar and it's nearly here.

Good to such positive reviews on the Tala Biscuit Tins - Do I need one? Do you think it is better than Tupperware?

It would have to be red.

I bought one of those Tala cookie tins after seeing Cookie's SS.  Love it as well although I'm not sure they come in red Michele  :)

I think biscuits stay fresher for much longer in tins rather than plastic Michele.  A batch of biscuits in this house lasts for weeks sometimes and do well in my tins, they're not as nice as the Tala though.
