I'm feeling the strain - I want to buy some more craft supplies for Christmas cards. The Op Shops are always a great alternative for buying ribbon, lace etc and you often get some lovely vintage items at next to nothing.

Well technically Christmas cards are given in December, so I don't think it would count as an October  spend  ;)

Well I wanted some lemon grass to add to other things and they just had some in.  Then I asked for a low tannin! low caffeine Nd guess what??  Three people said Daintree at once so of course I had to have it  just up the road I could go to the plantation.

And Ts had a purple dress 1/2 price so what is a girl to do?

I can well understand you wanting the purple dress Gert, you can't be seen wearing the same one to all the purple hat ladies events.

I have 16 teas now and I love them all at different times of the day. Crazy for someone who had no tea in the house a few months ago. My latest favourite in oolong iron goddess of mercy or maybe  French Earl Grey.

I think once your over fifty, have been married forever, were on a tight budget when you had young children, worked weekends, afternoons and nights to make ends meet - we are past spending nothing - earned are rights to a few of the special things in life that bring us pleasure.  :D

That is the truth mcmich. One year I worked 33 Saturdays  I had more nights on call than I care to remember not to mention night duty and up until about 16 months ago I have not bought any new clothes apart from underwear in about 8 years. My wardrobe consisted of singlets and shorts and the odd and I mean odd going out outfit.

Well, you always look great Gert  :D

We have paid our dues, and if tea or craft items bring us pleasure - then so be it.
Having said that - I'm still going to use up my craft items first before buying more.  :D

I'm doing pretty well, but DH brought the mail in today and said "I don't know what's happening, that's the third Australia post parcel collection slip we have received in two days, there must be some mistake, you just picked up two parcels..." "Hmm very interesting..." I have the said parcel slips and will be heading to the post office to collect my 3 parcels. Dare I tell him I'm expecting another two...
