Hi Tony, the current model is excellent and I highly recommend it. The new model is currently a mystery as it is a tightly held secret among a chosen few, so we can only glean what snippets of information are to be found on the web. It's a decision that only you can make whether you buy the tried and true model or wait to see if another comes out.

This model is tried and tested Tony so that's the one I'd go for. Thanks for joining us, welcome to the forum and good luck with the difficult decision of whether to buy now or wait for this supposed new model.

Hi Tony. I would expect a new model (if there is one - none of us know for sure) would be as reliable and useful as,the current model - a bit like new models of very good cars. I have had my thermomix for 4 years and a new model would have to be dramatically different/improved to persuade me to buy one. If, as some are predicting, news of a new model is out in September then you may want to wait and see. If you want to buy NOW then I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Hello again, thank you very much for your answers!

Finally on Friday I get my Thermomix! I decided that if the current model is the one that convinced me, and meets my expectations ... why wait?

Also, as you have commented, I am sure you will not disappoint me at all.

Thanks again, sure that from now on I will get to see most often around here;)

How exciting for you Tony. That's not too long to wait at all. Remember we enjoy answering queries from people, so if you have any problems ask away.

I was one of those who bought the outgoing model TM21 in 2004. I was extremely peeved to find it had been superseded within a month of my purchasing it! I waited until 2008 to buy the TM31 and sold my 21.

It must be very tricky bringing out a new model. But, I do agree it's time, 10 years....

I'd love a higher heat so I can make caramel, an option to turn off the blades and a larger capacity bowl. That's all!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Something that was pointed out to me and makes sense.  The new thermoservers are now 2.6 litres.  Maybe a bigger TM bowl (2.5 litres) is the reason for that?  Just a thought.  :)
