Great cooking effort MG. Keep us informed. Pineapple sorbet sounds yum, may have to try pineapple soft serve icecream.

I'd like to know how to make soft-serve icecream in any flavour Cookie1 - can you give us your secret please.  My ice-creams need to be zapped to soften them!

I second that !!!

I have yet to try any kind of ice-cream but would love to know how to make it properly the first time.   (mmm  -  I can feel my waist growing just thinking about ice-cream).

I'm afraid I am not going to really get much time to experiment until the weekend.  Until then, I want to cook fairly safe things so that I can make sure my family are fed before 9pm for a change.

I'm just reproducing what Faffa said. I make a sorbet with the fruit (I always use less sugar too) and instead of water iceblocks I put in milk iceblocks. No egg white either. It is really wonderful ,especially on these cold nights. Brrrr!  You do need to eat it all or if we do have left overs I put it into icy pole things and then into the freezer. Nice snack for the middle of the day.

Hi Molly,

Welcome (belatedly) to the Forum of fun and fantasia!

We have such a wonderful time here listening and laughing (with each other of course) at the stories we hear and the triumphs that occour.

I love the sound of the pinaple sorbet and when the pines are cheep as chips up this way this will be a great thing to 'get rid of' those pineapples that are hanging around the kitchen attracting fruit flys.

Was the sorbet tangy and yummy ?

tingely yours

Thanks for that Cookie1.  Around here, we don't know what "cold nights" are.  Currently it's 6:15pm & a very pleasant 24 degrees.

Spanner, sorry but I am afraid I can't help you there, as I don't actually eat pineapple.  In fact I really don't deserve to live in the tropics because I don't like most tropical fruit   :-\  I just made it for my 2 kids.  They polished off the entire lot.  All I put in was a whole pineapple (peeled of course  ;) ) and about 800g of ice.  Must of been passable at least.  Then again, my 2 year old eats snot but won't eat the stir-fry I cook so **shrugs shoulders** .

Thanks guys,

Quick pickup on that.  I had only just updated my signature yesterday afternoon  :)

I found out 2 days after I received the TMX.  Still not sure how far along I am.  Doctor thinks about 7 weeks going by blood tests & a feel of my tummy.  Was on the pill so HUGE surprise.  Ultrasound couldn't find bubby so have to go back in 2 weeks for a follow up ultrasound.

Now I know why I have been feeling under the weather lately  ;)

Welcome.

Glad you found the forum I'm from Mackay I have been following failsafe as well at the moment I am just sticking to no gluten and dairy with my son to try build his immune system.  So I know what you are going through and it is a pretty big eye opener when you discover the mainstream of food out there is not failsafe I didn't have my tmx when I did the elimination it makes such a difference when you can make things from scratch and know exactly what is going into the food you give to your children.  Hope you enjoy the forum and your tmx.

Hi Sunshine & Molly,
We don't have dairy or wheat or sugar, and I have a food blog with TMX recipes that you might find helpful.  (Some are gluten free too.)  Hope the pregnancy's going well Molly!
