This is just one more issue with Vorwerks system. The thing was posted to the consultant so I see no problem with them "picking" another for you and sending it to the  consultant. She can then keep it for the next customer should it ever turn up. It is all paper shuffling .

This is typical of the lack of service and yet another nail in Grace's coffin which is just about full of complaints at the moment.

Obviously they are overwhelmed with problems but that is not OUR problem.

Personally. Wonder, I would cancel the whole thing, get my money back and wait a while.  I am not yet convinced the TM5 is the be all and end all with the niggling problems the machine is having. Seems to me they had a 10 year lead in and all these things should have been sorted with testing, testing and testing. The errors on the chip are unforgivable. That error 160 keeps  turning up purportedly due to two screws needing adjusting is ridiculous. This is not a cheap Chinese  knock off . It is a $2000 piece of precision machinery.

I feel sorry for those girls out in the bush or in regional areas where the machine will take a week or more to get fixed. Not bloody fair.

All the problems have damaged the credibility of Grace and Vorwerk in general. I am not surprised that so many older consultants have had enough. The new ones won't last long and I see on FB some really bad advice and miss information is being disseminated buy rookie consultants. Some of them are just plain stupid with no idea having never even see a TMX until the day it arrived and they started their selling frenzy.  And it is also apparent that some of these new consultants not only have not mastered their machines but have no idea how to cook.  I should start collecting a few crazy "tips" I have read.  We could have a whole new thread on what not to do in your TM5.

This is a great bit of advice given by a new consultant  to a new TM5 owner who  was complaining about burning. I saw this  on a FB page. "You have to be careful using recipes for the TMX31 in the TM5 as the heat is hotter"

ROFLMAO!

Gert, I was arguing with them about it being between Vorwerk and the consultant yesterday. i could understand a little better if it was being delivered directly to me as I'm and an unknown to them and could just as easily end up with two, but when it is being delivered to their consultant they should be able to sort it out behind the scenes and just get me one within a timeframe that is acceptable. Will be interesting to see what they say today.

"the heat is hotter" what a crack up  ;D

Wonder, I am with Gert.  I would cancel and wait.  Sure it has some desirable features but takes almost 2 minutes longer to get to 100 than 31.  I think they have incorporated too many "protect the machine" features.  I also believe the mistakes in the chip unforgivable.

alicialph has been kind enough to share with us the meaning of some of the trouble shooting codes of the TM5.  I have moved it to a thread of it's own here.  Thank you alicialph.

My consultant just rang to let me know that my order has gone back to the 'picking' stage but still have no idea how long it's going to take to get to me and they won't let her pick it up from the Melbourne depot. After talking with me she rang them back and they have now agreed to change it so she can at least pick it up but we still don't have an expected delivery date. She's saying maybe Friday but definitely by next Tuesday.

I've had that error come up CP. However I have been able to continue cooking by starting the machine up again.

Wonder I feel exasperated for you.

I wonder how many machines just need that wee tweak of the screws CP?  You are lucky  you don't live in "Whoop Whoop".

Pleased to hear you're having some progress and you may be getting your TM5 soon Wonder. Fingers crossed that it proceeds smoothly this time.
