I used to 35 years ago but I don't anymore because we're not big red meat eaters anymore.  These days there are  wholesale butchers around who have very good prices without having to buy in bulk. I think a couple of our members do though.

I haven't bought bulk meat since we shifted back to the city. Go and chat with a butcher. They will give you good advice. It does work out cheaper.

I spoke to the butcher in Armadale  and he wasn't  really helpful.  I know it works out cheaper when  you get the hindquarter  because  thats where  the better cuts  are from . Just not sure if its worth it for the cuts i like  using. Anyone  know of a good butcher  sor?

There used to be one in Forrestfield. I'm not sure if he has retired or not though.

we only buy bulk, usually a sided or a full beast at a time.
You can get it cut up how you want.  Just ask. :)
