I was given Bill Granger's latest book EASY by my DH yesterday. Have to say that looking at the recipes it has to be one of his better books. I loved his earlier books but did not think much of HOLIDAY and others. But this looks like being a winner.
I'll take a look at that Courton - I like Bill's Sydney food. Bill's Food and Bill's Open Kitchen but haven't thought much of his other books and sold them on ebay.

I just saw the Bills cookbook at Big W today and was tempted!  I do have a few of his cookbooks (and live mighty close to one of his cafes - very bad for the waistline!) and I do like them so I will be interested to see what you think GF.

I was also tempted by What Katie Ate book - I'm going to spend some time checking out her blog tonight.  For me, it's not the price of the cookbooks but that I have run out of space to store them so they really have to be worthwhile!

Lucky you Snappy. I ate at Billy Kwongs years ago, very nice. Don't think it is open anymore though.

It is mcmich, it doesn't take bookings though, so you need to spend an hour or two drinking in the bar across the road before you can get a table - I hate that.

Good to know that it's still open, wouldn't hang around for a table though.

I like the look of What Katie Ate too.  I am hoping more cookbooks come out on kindle or ipad.  Too many books, not enough room!

Me too, much prefer the ebook version these days, like you say, don't have to store them and you still get to see all the photos etc just like a book. They are an instant download and the cheaper price is a bonus too.  :D

Thanks JulieO and kt2 - I am curreently browsing through the book - making a mental note of what I can make now without a grocery buying trip *grin*

It's very worth it  ;D  What else would have kept me awake this afternoon *giggle*

And yes I do look like I'm working - luckily.... dodidodidodidodidodidodido

I was looking at the website "What Katie Ate" and her photo's are genius, and her food looks simple and very delicious. I hope she brings out an ebook...
