I made this for visitors tonight.   I have amended the original recipe for  those who have had difficulty spreading the pastry on the top. 
Because I use Meyer lemons that are mild  ,  I added 1/3 of a cup oh juice and not 1/4.
They loved it.

Made this tonight.
Double quantity of mix as found large jar of pears in food box when looking for curry powder!

Put flaked almonds in crumble bit and blitzed and then put more almonds on top.

Voted a hit by all.

Here it is before cooking. Didn't have right dish but it worked fine.



I never follow recipe properly either I blitz to crumbs then add egg........ it always works thanks chookie xxxx

Here is tonight's with a sliced eating apple in the middle, and some oats and almonds added to topping and given a few seconds on speed 5 before putting on top.

Made this tonight used up chookies  lemon custard sauce made before Xmas.
Put some old nuts and oats in the crumble topping.
Our visitor loved it.  ;D
