Chookie, do you normally put the base mixture up the sides of your dish as well as the bottom? That's what I've been doing but looking at Uni's photo it looks like it's just on the bottom.

it would be easier putting it only on the bottom, I found it really fiddly putting it on the sides. My immediate thought is "doesn't the lemon run everywhere" but I guess it can't because it's in the dish! We really love this and it would be so much quicker not doing the sides, I might give it a go tonight.

Wonder,  I cook this in a dish with a curved bottom.  Like a big saucer. No sides.

We tried it cold but much preferred it warmed a little in the microwave, 20 - 30 secs was enough just to take the chill off.

A very forgiving recipe, Chookie!!  I was making it this morning but had my mind on something else.  Before I reailsed what I was doing, I'd put all the ingredients for the crumble in the bowl without doing the steps indicated.  No way to separate them, so pressed on regardless . . .crumble worked really well in spite of my being so "not with it!!". . . ;D

Everyone just adores this! Works beautifully in any number of situations!! ;D ;D

We are having friends drop round this afternoon so I needed something nice for afternoon tea. As I have been given absolutely heaps of lemons I decided to make this. I put it in an 8 inch (20cm) square tin and will serve it as a slice. DH has tried it a few times and likes it.
