JD - I thought you couldn't use roasted chicken carcasses to make soup. Anyone else thought this

What does cream of celery soup taste like - based on the name I wouldn't think to make it but am intrigued.

Today I converted a carrot cake recipe from exclusively food as it's a simple one to convert. It makes a very moist cake maybe a bit too much so. Have to see what it tastes like over a few days.

I don't know why you would have thought that Tasty.  Jamie Oliver has written about it here and our Chookies method here.

Chookie's Cream of Celery soup has good reviews Tasty - it's been a while since I made it so I can't remember what it tasted like  :-))

Thanks for pointing that out JD. I just thought you couldn't get the flavours out of a cooked one. You learn something new on here all the time :)

That's right JD a roasted chook will add flavour to the stock. I use both raw and roasted carcasses.

Waste not want not..

Tasty, cream of celery soup tastes like celery. The cream adds the texture but it a lot of flavour to a soup. Just like , cream of chicken soup tastes like chicken.

I would not think to make soup using celery, or lettuce, for that matter. However, I think I might try it out of curiosity.

Today I've made a curry from the first calendar, judy's chicken cacciatore, Tenina's EVOO lemon tart and the custard part of the icecream Tenina did at her Thai class.

I loved the icecream she made.
Delicious
I didn't taste any of her other dishes (vego) but absolutely loved her cooking class.
Hands down the best  teacher I know!

Made this this morning Teninas lemon curd posted by JD

A pot for my mum toMorrow and a pot as a thank you to,the person who checks my pony electric fence when I am away.

Then later I made 2 choc cakes from this recipe http://www.thepinkwhisk.co.uk/2012/02/chocolate-frosted-traybake.html
I did use Thermy but think the pan is easier on account of the bubbling parts. Maybe I was in too much of a rush to convert properly.

One to take away and one to leave DD.

And finally the custard biscuits from the forum , with cornflour, theynarebthe BEST biccies ever!

And defrosted this Taiwan bread from freezer for breakfast and take rest with us
