I was home sick with the flu - yuck - but managed to cook orange and cinnamon rice pudding, carbonara pasta, rice for fried rice tomorrow, violet crumble ice cream and pumpkin, sweet paprika and bacon soup.  Not too bad!

Well, it looks like today is going to be a normal day with no major work emergencies and no hospital trips, so, some cooking WILL be done today! There's a few things I want to cook, and DS wants to make bickies, so I think we'll be making some M&M biscuits (using my new mini icecream scoop), then some baguettes from For Foods Sake, or maybe the Sour Dough. I'd also like to make the lemon tart from FFS or maybe the chocolate slice that DroverJess posted the other day.

I have made EmeraldSue's  virtuous raspberry brownies. Started to make them and realised I needed buttremilk so luckily i had my other jug to first make the butter to get the buttermilk. i have excess almonds so chopped a few to go in as well. No raspberries but in an effort to empty freezer used my box of cherries. One chick peas can one packet gone. Also found in the pantry a , heaven forbid ROUND tuppware container given to me  by a friend leaving Cairns. In the contaner is chocolate buttons. I have no idea what they are or what they are used for but I threw a handful into the batter as well.  They are in  the oven. pic later

Needed some liquid stock for the Prawn risotto for lunch. Again emptying the freezer of a few prawns. Anyway bought a chicken yesterday to make dog food so cooked it up and made the stock. now I will pick the bones of all flesh and make dog food. Might add another can from the pantry into that.

The way you are going Gert, there will be no food left in the house for DH whilst you are on the retreat  :D

Today I am doing a curried pork and pineapple dish from one of the blogs.

Very nearly. I am down to 1/2. Bag of prawns and the hunk of beef but I  think that is a weekend job so it  WILL be empty by MON.

Working on the pantry still .  I am really determined to change my ways .
