Marie, what is tomato quetta?

Hally, if recipes are out of books there is usually a blank page at the back of the book and I write anything I've done there.  If they are off the forum or a blog I print it out and put it in my recipe box.

Last night I went through all my books of hand-written favourite recipes and I was amazed at how many recipes I put on a list to be converted - will try and get through them all in this lifetime  ;)

Judy, the Tomato Quetta is like a chutney made from tomatoes, sugar, sultanas, fresh ginger, garlic, vinegar ,dried chillies salt, plain flour. The recipe is from an old Weekly times Pioneer cookbook

Only received the UK Thermomix News this morning but liked the look of the mini pita pockets and as I have never made pita bread before, I thought I'd have a go.  Everything went to plan but they are mini alright  :o  They are only the size of a large cookie and as you can see from the cut one, it looks just like a roll inside.  Can't use them as rolls though as the outside is soft like pita should be.  Problem now, how to use them.  Obviously if I want them crisp I will have to toast them but they are too small to put anything much inside so I guess I will just have to cut and toast them for under eggs or baked beans etc.

Yum Uni, I've missed your photos ;D ;D ;D

Thought I would say in the last 4 weeks I have made 11 new recipes, 9 of which we loved. Have started a page on Notes  on ipad stating where they came from for a quick reference.

What do others do?

 :)

Hally, I just write a sticky note to stick on the page if its from a book. And I cook a lot of things from here so I just post my comments in a review :)

I use evernote.. To try or tried etc ... Usually give a mark out of five.. So versatile.. You can create as many tags you want for one recipe
