The kids just helped me to make fudge. Was meant to be Johnro's cookies and cream but as my white chocolate and oreos had mysteriously disappeared we followed the original recipe but used milk chocolate buttons and tim tams instead. Not as nice as cookies and cream but still yummy. Kids love it,  :)

Added a splash of vanilla extract.

Just making some Handmade Toasted Mueslie p31 from Nico Moretti's new book. Says to preheat oven to 180 degees and bake the oats and sunflower seeds for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and toasted.

Mine were what I would classify as burnt in just under 10 minutes. His photograph that he used doesn't even look like they have gone in the oven. Waiting for them to cool so I can judge whether I proceed to add all the other ingredients to this (and possibly waste it if its just too burnt flavoured) or just bin it and make a batch of Tenina's granuesli which is always nice. Doesn't that just give you the pips  :-))

Nico replied: "The temperature should be 160C (Fan Forced) for about 30 minutes, stirring them around occasionally so they brown uniformly. Alternatively, 180C (Conventional) for the 30 minutes should also work."

Delayed nearly a week but this was from last Saturday and Sunday for my DW's Birthday

First up there is Caramelized Spiced Nuts from the How to Cook Everything iOS app

Then a Baked Lemon Cheesecake ( http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11022.0 )with some strawberries in it. It was utterly delicious! My gawd was it scrumptious. Making this again for sure.

Then Carrot Cake ( http://forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10599.0 ) which my wife loves, as does a colleague of hers.

Then Chocolate Brownies ( http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/chocolate-brownies/38693 ) which everyone seems to enjoy. Particularly my DS & DW

Then Tenina's Black Forest Crepe Cake - general opinion seemed to be that it was simply okay / not bad. I don't see it being made again for a good while. We used Raspberries rather than Cherries.

To make it we made this Raspberry & Red Wine Coulis ( http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8938.0 ) to replace the cherry juice. This Coulis was also absolutely delicious and me & the missus ate some without anything. Yum yum yum. No need to add additional sugar.

Nearly at the end, we made a Chocolate Frosted Fudge Cake from a friends recipe. Unusual as it uses Greek Yoghurt rather than Cream. Was quite tasty, slightly messed up as we didn't have two cake tins of the same size left so bottom was 22cm, top was 18cm.

Finally we made the Chewy Chocolate Overload Cookies from the new Chocolate cookbook
( http://journalofafrenchfoodie.com/2013/07/05/chewy-chocolate-overload-cookies/ ). Again this was thought all round to be absolutely fabulous. Being begged to make these again. Only cooked them for the suggested 8 minutes and was perfect, soft and chewy.

That is almost a death-by-chocolate birthday party Rob  ;D  Well done, I bet the wife was very proud of your efforts and all the women were wishing their DH could do what you did.
