Fish cakes for dinner
In the middle of making ginger bread men for the boys (the dough is resting in the fridge).

Yay! Thank you! Please excuse the messy circle in the bottom of the picture. I hate throwing anything away so I rolled a shape and baked it! That one can be for me.

Beautiful bread everyone.
I also made bread today, pizza bases, Napolitana sauce for the pizzas and put together some Pepper pies I had done the meat and pastry for.

Brumington, lovely gingerbread.
Uni, I love a touch of Rye flour in bread.
Judy, you will be safe with Marina. She is amazing, found her way here, no problems. .
Fast diet, day 2 here today so might make a new soup out of recently bought book. Will look for something a bit different and will post if OK.

My DH is cooking Jamie Oliver's 12 hour rabbit bolognese today.
I haven't eaten rabbit since I was a kid and was forced to eat it and my DH has only eaten rabbit once before. Neither of us is really sure about it, but he really wanted to make it so we'll give it a try.
When I say DH is making it, I mean he is standing in the kitchen and I'm reading the recipe and either telling him what to do or I'm doing it myself. But he thinks he's making it!!

I slow cooked a bunny recently. It was delish. You will enjoy the 12 hour rabbit for sure.

I can just picture it - you have to know Kate's DH to be able to picture this scene
Good luck with it Katie and I look forward to my little pack of the sauce down the track. You guys watch too many cooking shows

It's cooking away now.
I'll be stashing some away for you Judy for sure. If I have to eat rabbit then so do you!!
You're right though, we do watch too many cooking shows. That's where he got the silly idea to cook rabbit.

KatieJ I watch way too many cooking shows and give myself huge expectations of what I can achieve. But then I learn something invaluable like how to cook perfect scrambled eggs thanks to Jamie and justify my addiction that way!
I love rabbit. When I was about 11 my best friends mum and dad took me to France. They told me I was having rabbit stew and I was dreading it. We sat outside on a picnic table and I kid you not, wild rabbits were hopping around as we ate. You'd think it would turn anyone off, especially a child but it was so good I asked for more. They were amazing cooks and I often think that it was her mum and dad who influenced my love of food and cooking.
