Made this today.  It is different and very nice.  It is like a hot,  mild curry rice.  It can be eaten as a complete meal as it has egg  added at the end,  and served with yoghurt.

BZB,  it is similar to a risotto,  but not.  It is adapted from a Karen Martini recipe , Quick Curried Rice with Spring onion and Peas.
We ate it with Braised Turkey wings, (the knobby bit) and steamed Chinese cabbage.  Served with Greek yogurt.  The curry is very mild but could be increased.
The main difference to cooking risotto in the TMX is that with this recipe ,the rice and spice are cooked in the bowl but finished of in a dish in the Varoma.  The egg , butter and peas are poured over the rice and steamed for a few minutes.
I will post the recipe as I will certainly make it again and will be good when we have visitors.  The dish from the varoma can be used at the table to serve. With a mixed meal it would serve 6/8.

No action here today. I even asked DH to do the roast chicken we had for dinner as I wanted to keep working on the figures. He made a lovely dinner.

Chookie, that looks nice
Cookie, sounds like you had better luck than me tonight. I made a tuna mornay pasta bake, put it in a cold oven whilst I took the kids to various sports, and asked DH to put the oven on so it would be ready when I got home. He set the oven temp, but didn't choose a function, so when I got home the oven was still cold.

There is nothing like a cooked chook.

I'm test running some cupcakes.....sticky date with a caramel icing & a Jaffa flavoured one...there will probably be chocolate too.
After consuming a few glasses of bubbly with a friend a while back, under the influence, I happily agreed to make around 100 cupcakes for her "40th" cocktail party coming up  :-))   :-X

So, I'll let her taste these & see what she thinks....I've ordered chocolate moulds, so I'll embellish them with chocolates that have meaning for her.....one of them is a rifle  :P yes, she's a glam hunter LOL.....I cannot tell you how long it took me to track a rifle mould down....plenty of pistols though...coming from U.S, so hope it gets here in time.
There will be lots of glitter, black & silver!
Will hire a big tiered stand, then worry how I'll get them all there in one piece later  :-\
I will never drink & make deals again  :P
.........EAT CAKE!
