I showed Geoff maddy's gingerbread house today and he said 'we could make that' - yeah right  ;D
:D :D ;D
Show my family the gingerbread house also and was asked was I going to make one of those.  Reply was "in your dreams"
I tried many years ago to make one and it collapsed, a real disaster.  Maddy's is beautiful
Karen, those fritter sound great.  :)

Ta, I'll post it for others.  I wonder why Brooke took her blog down.

Here's the recipe.  Karen how many fritters did it make, did you do full quantity?

I did the full quantity, and it made about 18-19 fritters, with each fritter being about 8-10 cm across.

Like I said, the batter is really quite thick, and I used a large serving spoon to dollop in the batter into the frypan, then spread and smooth it out to make the fritters a bit thinner.  You wouldn't want them too thick, or else they would be gluey in the middle.

We made bright pink playdough this morning from B&T book - not sure how it ended up so bright. :o :o

Tried to get a pic but it didn't show the brightness!!  :)

We got two boxes of Bowen mangoes for Christmas. So this morning I spent decheeking them. I then made Mango and lime coulis and a coleslaw for lunch. DH made Mango daiquiris this evening. Yum!

We still have leftovers but I am going to cook something else for dinner.

Great loaf Hally :)

Just dehydrating some cherries and mango atm and then I might have a go at stuffed zucchini flowers for dinner...I have to see if we still have zucchini flowers first :)

Not too much cooking here, too many leftovers to get through first!

DH is having made up left over bake - layers of spinach, mushroom, capsicum, ham, cheese, bread and egg/milk/salsa poured over the top.

I'm having fruit and cheese.

We go away on Sunday and are desperately trying to give away and use up all of the food from our 2 Christmas lunches.  :)
