Made Tenina's tomato tart tatin. I'm still not completely happy with it but it is a darn sight better than my first attempt when I tried making the puff pastry. Next time I think I will add some olives to it. I have used up a block of puff pastry from the freezer that has been there forever and tomatoes from the garden.

Yum MDU!

Kimmy those rolls look Delish. Which ones were they?

Not much here today just chicken biryani for dinner. DH did pikelets this morning.
Soft buttermilk rolls from tenina's for foods sake.

Great soufflé ES. Have never made a soufflé
Your tartin looks good too Michele. I haven't made one of them before either.
No cooking today. Leftovers. But I do feel inspired after watching streusel making on great British bake off last night.

You have been busy Hally.  :D

We are having an Australia Day BBQ and I thought I would get a head start on the finger food that would freeze. Spiced beef meatballs, 4 dozen of JD's caramelised onion, fetta and mushroom tarts. Also the filling for mini meat pies but ran of puff pastry for the tops so that will be tomorrows job.

great cooking Michele looks lovely, apart from ice cream and the usual breakfast lunch and dinner we haven't done any baking so I have put aside Thursday to be our cooking day much cheaper than going out every day ::)

Great idea to think ahead Michele, it will be upon us before we know it.  How many people are you inviting?

Well Judy, it started out t 15 including us although now has swelled a bit to 28. I've always said the more the merrier, so I can practice what I preach and enjoy the celebration. DH pitches in totally and he is cooking all the meat, including making the sausages and an egg and bacon pie (his specialty) so it should be OK.  :D

Good, I'll await my invitation in the mail then and bring a few forum friends with me  ;D

It's nice that Don is being involved with the catering, it makes it more fun for you both.

Judy, you and all forum friends would be welcome any time. The granny flat is under renovations at the moment but plenty of room in the house.  ;D

Your cooking looks great mcmich.  I haven't done any cooking today.  I think 2 GD's are coming this week so I had better get myself organised.
