It's easy Gert. Just a little time consuming. The actual taste is lovely too.

I made the hairy bikers bread from the UK newsletter over the weekend, and love it. Couldn't eat it on day of baking because of a fur kid thing happening at the time. I've sliced it for toasting and it has a lovely flavor. Toasted sandwiches are delish,  crumbed a chop tonight in the AF tonight and it was finger licking good.  The texture is quite different - not ciabetta but  light/bubbly. Will definitely make again.

So many gorgeous pics on here  8)

Have just made my version of the Five Seed Bread in the baby 1.5L slow cooker and love the results. That is the way it will be cooked from now on. So easy and so good!

mab19  that ginger cake looks yum!

Thanks JulieO and Bedlam. Sorry should have put details up before. Am supposed to be working ATM  Sssshhhh!

SC (1.5L) Five seed bread

One of the best breads I have made!

•   50gm wheat milled about 60secs/speed 9

Add:
•   250 g luke warm water
•   1 tsp yeast
•   ˝ tsp coarse celtic salt (like rock salt)

Then add other ingredients:
•   50g rye flour
•   150g unbleached bakers flour
•   25g oats
•   15g each sesame seeds, linseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, poppy seeds
•   15g honey
•   1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
•   15g olive oil

Line SC with baking paper (makes it easy to lift the loaf out) and cook loaf on high for 1 hour and 15 min.
Lift loaf out, put some seeds in the bottom of the SC and put the bread back in top first to brown. Cook on high another 15 min.

I read somewhere that apple cider vinegar is a natural bread improver but I can’t remember where. Also I use organic flours which are meant to be thirstier than normal flour. I don’t know if that is true.

I've put a copy of this bread into the bread section as well. It sounds delicious.
The food looks so delicious. What a clever bunch of cooks we have. I love all the ideas I can get from here.
