Great cooking everyone.

I have to agree with Judy & CC - that is the best looking rhubarb ever.

I have a large pot of pea & ham soup cooking in my SC at the moment.  It's been years since I made it.

I made some doughnuts in the cake pop machine which I was given for Xmas. I haven't used it and was going to pass it on with other things I don't use. I can't see that I will ever make pop cakes but I have found some savoury recipes on line which I think I will try. So it has survived the cull this time.
Just a quick question. Do you have any hints on how to get the cinnamon sugar to stick? I rolled them in it while it they were warm but no luck.

Perhaps they could be dunked in a sweet sauce just before they are eaten Mich.

Maybe a quick dip into sugar syrup. No idea . Too sweet for me.

I've never tried it, but take a look at this . . .do you think this might work?

I use to be a donut decorator at a local bakery. The trick is to coat the donuts wth sugar or cinnamon sugar while still hot. Powdered sugar once fully cooled and it sticks very well

Thanks for the suggestions  :D I did try and coat while still hot. Have done a bit of googling and seems that the sugar sticks best because of the oil from deep frying. They suggest spraying with oil and then coating in sugar.

This is all becoming a lot of work from a $11.99 appliance I wouldn't have purchased.  :-\ Next time (if there is a next time) I may just ice and add sprinkles. I will try some savoury recipes though and decide whether or not to keep or donate.  :D

Michelle, I brush mine lightly with melted butter then into cinnamon sugar.  Yes it's a bit of work but they taste great and the boys cannot get enough of them.

BTW, isi's donut recipe Is my go to recipe! 😛😛

I've just made the marinade for BZB's Peri Peri Chicken and instead of scraping every bit out I've added veggies and stock to make soup. It will be interesting to see what it tastes like as I added every vegie I had left.

Yes I was going to suggest as Snappy has Mich. That's what I do with my doughnut muffins :) http://itsnotartitsdinner.wordpress.com/2011/05/23/strawberry-blackberry-jam-doughnut-muffins/

Tonight I made smoked salmon Quiche. Followed this recipe. Pastry made enough for two. Used up our smoked salmon and cream. Can't stop eating it. http://simonesthermomixessentials.wordpress.com/2010/11/11/hot-salmon-quiche/
