Today I made cabbage rolls for tomorrow nights dinner, recipe from Monday Morning Cooking Club book.

Yesterday I cooked some rhubarb in the sous vide. It turned out perfectly tender, but still held it's shape. Vac packed it with a little bit of sugar and then sous vide for an hour. Loving the sous vide so far.

Lovely food there. The rhubarb would be lovely. I might have to try it in the HMP.
I didn't cook today, except for dinner and most of it was from the freezer.

Cheese and jalapeņo loaf today. Dinner of leftovers. Made a rum and raisin banana bread yesterday, plus creme caramel, salt cod fritters, rabbit Ragu with homemade squid ink pasta and a side of balsamic onions with grilled Jerusalem artichokes. Visitor was well fed 😊

That is not such a hot oven BZB. Yikes how do you manage?  Well, rev it up as high as. Just will take longer. You can cut it before just as easily or after. I think I did it before on the one in the pic. I like the crust brown and crispy on the bottom to avoid sog.

With an oven like that it might pay to par bake the crust before adding the toppings and popping it back in. Yes I think I would do that so the topping does not over cook.

Let me know how it goes.

You could always use a satay sauce or curry sauce for the base to make a spicy beef or chicken. Yum.

Gert

Sounds good, Gert. I've got a chicken curry that's been in the fridge for a while. Might just pizza it 😄

Will par bake the bases. Great idea!
