Gorgeous pumpkin loaf Sue. Which recipe did you use?

Funny you should ask that Amanda. I've been eying off a pumpkin loaf at the farmers market, so have experimented a little and developed my own recipe. I didn't enter the royal show this year as I had the flu, so entered a local country show this weekend with this pumpkin loaf and came away with the ribbon for the best exhibit in open cookery! I also did well with most of the other entries I put in too, as did DD who got a first, second, third and a well done for her 4 entries. I will post the recipe for the pumpkin bread soon😄

You can't keep a good cook down ES, Port Elliott isn't exactly on your doorstep so it was a bit of an effort to enter your baking. Congratulations to both you and DD on your successes.

ES, this is fantastic. Well done to both you and your DD.
Visitors tomorrow for Dinner. Made Peppermint Ice cream and Gerts Chicken Liver Pate with Pistachios. Don't think Ral will miss some of his very best Cognac!! Going to experiment with a French Scallop dish, mostly made in Varoma. Jill Dupleix's chicken in mustard sauce.
Ribs and salad for Dinner tonight. Might taste test the peppermint Ice Cream

ES you and your DD are super wonderful. Well done.
Chookie I think the icecream does need taste testing.
I do believe I am feeling better today. I have been upright all day despite a late night. I have actually cooked DJ's small fruit loaf.

Had a slow roasted lamb in the woodfire oven. Followed closely by chookies Queen of Puddings. Cooking in the woodfire oven used half a bag of wood which equates to $9 cooking cost alone. Does anyone know of a cheap wood supplier in Perth ?
