I made some fruit mince pies and a batch of beetroot relish today, a productive day for quite a few forum members I see.  Well done ladies.

You have put me to shame everyone. Your food looks delicious. I started the day with brilliant plans. After fooling around and doing nothing I eventually made some delicious Cherry Jam. Had lunch and sat to read for a while. Well....it is now 4pm and I'm having afternoon coffee from the machine. At least I'm not tied at all.  ;) :D :D

Nice bread chookie.

Djinni, those rolls look tasty.

I made Kimmy's fruit cake yesterday and shared it with a friend who does not cook.  The cake is delicious.  Sorry no photo.  Also made a batch of chookies lemon bliss balls.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Today I've made Yoghurt, Ginger Jam and Shortbread. My sister is coming for lunch on Tuesday, think I will give her the Ginger Jam and a small Christmas Cake that I made earlier in the week. She doesn't have a Thermie, she will love it!

Lots of clever cooks.
I too made some cherry jam for gifts but I think I am going to need to give it some more time.  I didn't add jamsetta but used a whole green apple. Waiting for it to cool completely but not looking good. I also made some nougat for the first time.  That's too good!

Judy, homemade nougat, easy just takes an hour. And it is very sticky to get out so it exercises your patience.

Thanks Denise, did you use rice paper?  Would baking paper be OK on its own?

I used rice paper and would recommend you did.  I bought mine from lakelands when I was in the UK a long time ago.  Always intended trying to make some.  Just snuck one of your peppermint rounds, very nice.

Chookie your bread looks so good; I love how a tried and true recipe like your no fuss rolls can be made into so many different types like those beautiful spinach rolls Djinni.
What fun Jamberie to have a cookup with a friend.
Thanks Bedlam for the nougat recipe which I just love; cant wait to have a go. Will go off and buy some honey tomorrow (ate two jars while coughing).

I was amazed at only two ingredients Troupie.  Very easy with Thermie.

That nougat looks good ;D
I nearly had to post in the oops thread.  :o
I wanted to make the jam donut muffins as cupcakes, so used the never fail cupcake recipe. The batter was really thick, so I added a little extra milk, half filled each cupcake wrapper, added a dollop of jam and then topped with more batter. As I went to put them in the oven, I noticed the 3 eggs sitting on the counter!! Oops.! I then emptied each cupcake back into the bowl, added the eggs and whizzed it up again. I didn't bother putting more jam in the centre of the cupcakes the second time. I basted them with melted butter and dipped in cinnamon sugar, and they turned out delicious if not quite what I was aiming for ;D
I also made 2 of Kimmy's quiches, substituting the sweet potato for pan fried bacon and mushrooms. We had one for dinner tonight and the other is for a picnic tomorrow. I love this quiche recipe - thanks Kimmy

Not sure where I can get the correct rice paper from around here Denise, that might be a bit tricky.

They have it at Gaganis Brothers Judy.
Maybe they'd have it at Spotlight?
